Two Lake District hotels have been shortlisted in prestigious industry awards.

The Cateys showcase and celebrate the very best hotels, hoteliers and hotel staff across the UK. Organised by trade Bible The Caterer, the winners will be announced in July.

Langdale Chase in Windermere, part of the Thwaites collection, is a finalist in the Hotel of the Year (Group) category and The Swan Hotel & Spa in Newby Bridge, has been nominated in the Best Use of Innovative Technology category.

The Langdale Chase reopened in November 2023 following a 12-month refurbishment.

Mike Vincent, general manager, said: “What a huge honour it is for Langdale Chase to achieve a coveted place on the Cateys shortlist.

“We’ve had great success since reopening our doors 18 months ago, and this recognition is testament to everyone who has been part of that journey and all the hard work the team put into making our guests’ stays so memorable day-in-day-out.”
