
Steven Rigg’s best ever season for Workington was rewarded with five accolades at the end of season presentation evening.
The centre forward dominated the awards after an outstanding personal campaign.
Rigg, who originally played for the club on loan in 2018 has been a consistent performer over the past four seasons but raised the bar this term emerging top scorer in his 41 appearances.
His 21 goals earned him the Golden Boot and he also collected the Reds Independent Supporters’ Club Award, the Pro Sports Media Player of the Year and the coveted double of the Players’ Player of the Year and Supporters’ Player of the Year trophies.
Tom Stephenson capped a fine first season with the club by being named Young Player of the Year and Ruben Grewal’s fine goal against Matlock Town was voted Workington’s Goal of the Season.
