A man has been charged after a report of people being threatened with a knife by a man on a Carlisle street.
Cumbria Police received the report on Thursday May 15 at 3.46pm on Linden Terrace.
Hassan Khamis, 27, of Linden Terrace, Carlisle has been charged with threatening a person with a blade in a public place.
He has been remanded to appear at Carlisle Magistrates’ Court this morning, Saturday May 17.
The community will continue to see officers in the area to offer reassurance.
Officers are aware of video footage being circulated on social media and are asking people not to share it further so as to not impact criminal proceedings.
