A man being chased by police was caught after he ended up in the water in Whitehaven Harbour.
Copeland Police said: “Following a foot chase in Whitehaven which resulted in a man trying to evade officers by going for a swim in the harbour, officers from Whitehaven Neighbourhood Policing Team have arrested a male for section 5A road traffic act driving whilst over the subscribed limit of a specified drug.”
