
On a day of mixed results in the National Conference League, Wath Brow Hornets recent run of good form came to an abrupt end, but there was an emphatic win for Egremont Rangers, and Hensingham pulled off an impressive victory over Clock Face Miners.
In the Premier Division, Wath Brow went down to a 40-6 defeat away at Thatto Heath Crusaders, and the Brow now sit seventh in the table, with Thatto Heath improving to ninth.
In Division One Egremont Rangers had a try fest with a 70-6 win over Woolston Rovers, with a dominant second half performance at Gillfoot Park from the Rangers, and a hat trick of tries for Tom Houghton, and two apiece for Man of the Match Jak Conway and Paul Corkhill.
Quinn Wright, Dylan Morris, Sam Williams, Matt Bewsher, Kye Beckett and Lachlan McDowell each went over for a try, and Bewsher added an impressive nine conversions in blustery conditions.

Kells fell to an agonising one point 13-12 away defeat to Oulton Raiders. James Ennis and Dan Starkie crossed the try line for Kells, with Grant Gainford adding two conversions, the only difference between the two sides was a drop goal for Oulton.
Egremont are now in seventh place in the table with Kells in eighth.

In Division Two, Hensingham pulled off an impressive win over third placed Clock Face Miners, despite going behind to two early tries from Jack Graham and Ben Daniels.

In a fierce battle, Corby Rickerby led the comeback with two unconverted tries on the left wing and there was just a two point gap at half time (8-10).
In the second half Hensingham looked the stronger and fitter of the two sides, and a try from Koby Conway and then a Jaylen Conway brace, along with two conversions from Adam Williamson and a Kieran Mewse penalty goal left the final score at 25-16 to the hosts.
Ellenborough Rangers visit to East Leeds ended with a disappointing 50-12 defeat, and Barrow Island also fell to an away loss, 38-16 at Pilkington Recs.

Hensingham are up to fifth place, leapfrogging Barrow who are now in seventh place, with Ellenborough propping up the table in twelfth position.
In Division Three, Millom were another travelling Cumbrian team losing out on the day, the Woolybacks going down 34-8 at Keighley Albion, and Distington shipped sixty unanswered points at Featherstone Lions with a 60-0 defeat.Â
Millom and Distington are in seventh and eighth place in the table, each with three wins from eight matches.Â
