A Post Office branch will open in Barrow later this year.
Roose lost its Post Office in June 2023 after the postmaster resigned but it has now been announced that a new branch will open on Friday August 15 at Yarlside Stores on Yarlside Road.
Opening hours will be Monday to Saturday 6am to 9pm and Sunday 7am to 9pm, the Post Office said.
There will be a Post Office counter alongside the retail counter and similar products and services will still be available.
