Man seriously injured in lorry crash in Barrow

A man has been seriously injured following a collision involving a lorry in Barrow.

The incident happened on Tuesday, June 3, at the junction of Princess Street and Queen Street, at around 3pm.

The man, a pedestrian in his 30s, was taken to hospital.

It involved a yellow dropside lorry and the driver is helping police with their enquiries.

Police said they were keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone who has any dashcam, or CCTV/doorbell footage from the area at the time of the incident which may assist with the investigation.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Police are also asking people not to share images or videos of the incident on social media so as not to impact any potential criminal proceedings.
