A Whitehaven man is inviting people to join him on a fundraising walk for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
On Sunday, June 22, Leo Hamilton will walk from Keswick to Threlkeld.
In December 2024, Leo’s father was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, a life-altering moment that brought shock, anger and sadness to his family.
He said: “From this I learned that I must accept this new way of life for him and my family.”
The walk will begin at 10am in Keswick. Walkers will have collection buckets. People are also invited to join Leo on his walk.
Leo added: “My ultimate aim for this charity event is not only to bring my family together during this tough period for us all, but also to bring the community together as a whole.”
