
A man was seriously injured in an early hours assault in Carlisle.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place at around 2.25am on June 8.
It has been reported there was an altercation near Walkabout on Botchergate involving six men.
One of the victims of this assault sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital before being later discharged.
Police want to identify four of the men involved and are asking anyone with information, or the men themselves, to contact police.
The men are described as white and in their early 20s to early 30s.
Three of the men were wearing dark coloured jumpers and another was wearing a white top/jacket with a hood.
