A Whitehaven road is closed following a sinkhole appearing.
West Strand, which runs along the harbourside in front of the Beacon, is closed in both directions.
The landslip was reported at around 3.50am today, Saturday June 21.
Cumbria police said: “Cumbria Constabulary, United Utilities and the Highways Agency are dealing with a leak and subsidence.
“The road will be closed for some time while repairs are completed.”
The Beacon Museum and Howling Wolf Cafe are open and accessible by foot.
It was initially reported as a landslip when Cumbria Crack first reported on the issue at around 5am.
