Lodore Falls Hotel

Four Lake District hotels – owned by the same hospitality group – have been named among the best in the world by TripAdvisor.

Inn on the Lake at Ullswater, Inn on the Square in Keswick, the Borrowdale Hotel and Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa at Derwentwater have won the review platform’s Travellers’ Choice Awards.

The venues are operated by the family-run Lake District Hotels.

The awards are determined by millions of genuine guest reviews from travellers across 12 months.

Dani Hope, director at Lake District Hotels, said: “This puts the Lake District on the world stage alongside destinations like the Maldives and Swiss Alps.

“For a family business based right here in Keswick and Ullswater to be recognised globally shows what Lake District hospitality can achieve.

“Our guests are telling the world that you don’t need to travel to far-flung destinations for world-class hospitality – you can find it right here in the heart of England’s most beautiful landscape.”
