It is hoped a Whitehaven road will reopen next week after a sinkhole appeared last month.
West Strand, which runs along the harbourside in front of the Beacon, was closed in both directions after the hole was reported at around 3.50am on Saturday June 21.
Believed to have been caused by a leak from a pipe, United Utilities and highways are working to repair the road.
United Utilities said it hoped the work would be completed by next week.
The Beacon Museum and Howling Wolf Cafe are open and accessible by foot.
