A Cumbrian charity has been shortlisted for a national award.
Cumbria Youth Alliance which empowers young people across Cumbria, has been nominated for a Centre for Social Justice Award.
The awards seek out the top small charities nationwide, highlighting those that excel in innovation and effectiveness in the fight against poverty.
Cumbria Youth Alliance provides programmes that build resilience, promote emotional well-being, and enhance life and employability skills.
“It helps young people to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their communities.
The charity also offers infrastructure support to delivery organisations, helping strengthen the youth sector across the region, and ensure impact is measured effectively through robust monitoring and evaluation.
Becky Wolstenholme, CEO of Cumbria Youth Alliance, said: “We are absolutely thrilled and so excited to be chosen as a finalist.
“Recognising and championing the work we do to support young people and youth organisations in Cumbria is testament to all the dedicated staff at CYA and all our amazing partners.”
Winners will be revealed later this year.
