Lennon Clark has been telling Hull fans just how much he’s been enjoying his loan spell with Workington Town.
It’s his first spell in senior professional and the youngster is making the most of it in League One.
He has been reflecting, too, on scoring his first senior tries for the Cumbrian outfit earlier this month.
Its not probably what he might have dreamed of from boyhood when he was a big Hull FC fan and two tries in a derby with Hull KR might have been his ambition.
But the brace came in another derby – the West Cumbrian showdown at the Recreation Ground between Whitehaven and Town which his side won 22-8.
That was Clark’s fourth game for Jonty Gorley’s side and he has fitted in really well.
The 19-year-old back-rower, who has progressed through Hull’s scholarship and academy ranks into the first team still has another year to run on his deal.
His aim is to make it a long-term contract with the club he’s supported all of his life.
He told the club website: “That’s the dream – to play first team for Hull FC.
“That’s my long-term goal, but I’m really enjoying myself at Workington at the moment.
“It’s been a great experience for me, and coming out of the academy last year, it’s exactly what I need to play against men.
“It’s so much more physical, especially defensively, and it’s hard at times, but I feel like I’m improving, and that’s what matters.
“It’s been good to play regularly and get a run of games together.”
Clark will be in the squad again on Sunday when Town entertain Keighley Cougars at the Fibrus Community Stadium in Workington.
