Barrow were unable to score a single point in the second half of their Championship clash in London.
As a result the Broncos overturned a 10-8 interval deficit into a winning position as they scored 10 unanswered points.
But the result was in doubt right until the closing minutes as the home side led 12-10 from the 48th minute when they nosed ahead with an unconverted try from Liam Tindall.
It stayed that way until the 80th minute when Alex Walker got over for the clinching try which was converted by Jack Smith.
Barrow had been under tremendous pressure from the start but they defended superbly and were the first to score on 13 minutes.
Brad Walker hoisted a bomb which Shane Toal gathered as he leapt highest and was able to offload quickly to Luke Cresswell who scored. Walker converted.
A repeat bomb from Walker on 19 minutes was collected by Andrew Bulman who was able to twist and turn to get over the line for an unconverted try.
The Broncos had no joy until the closing stages of the half. On 36 minutes they spun the ball from one side of the pitch to the other and scrambled Barrow defence couldn’t stop Smith from going in at the corner.
Then just before the hooter Ethan Natoli burst through the Raiders defence to touch down but Smith failed with the kick to put his side level.
After missing out in the second half, a disappointed Barrow coach Paul Crarey said: “We are playing with a lot of busted bodies and lads are playing with injuries.
“But the thing was that we made wrong decisions and we didn’t show the composure needed when we got into good positions.
“However, with a tough run of fixtures to come the biggest problem is where are we going to get players from to face Oldham next weekend.”
