Holker Old Boys sit at the top of NW Counties Division One North – the only side to have won both their opening games.
Ashton Athletic are the only other 100% side at this early stage and they have only played the one game.
In their second League game Holker travelled to newly-promoted Fulwood Amateurs and were impressive 4-1 winners.
Luke Davey (28) and Charlie McGladdery (42) put the visitors 2-0 ahead at half-time before the hosts were given hope with a 62nd minute goal from Sam Braithwaite.
But Holker saw-off any Fulwood recovery with further goals from Luke Mitchell (71) and Jamie Hodgson (82) to wrap up the points.
They are back at home next Saturday against Steeton who drew their only League game so far.
Fellow south Cumbrians Millom opened their campaign in the West Lancashire Premier Division with a 2-2 home draw against Poulton.
Promoted as Division One champions Millom were twice behind in the game but levelled on both occasions to earn a good point.
Tyler Hallam had put the visitors ahead on 16 minutes but within two minutes Ben McDonald had levelled for the hosts.
Poulton regained the lead on 52 minutes through Lewis Camm but Harry Cowley netted on 69 minutes to ensure Millom got something out of the game.
Astley and Buckshaw United were runners-up to Millom last season and promoted with them, but they started with a home defeat to Cleator Moor Celtic.
It finished 3-2 to the West Cumbrians who are hoping to build on last season’s President’s Cup win with a strong performance in the league.
They had fallen apart to an 18th minute goal for Sam Swarbrick but had drawn level eight minutes before half-time through new recruit Leo Brennan.
Then four minutes into the second half Celtic took the lead through Brennan only for it to be cancelled out on 54 minutes when Celtic didn’t deal with a free kick into the box and Ollie Roebuck poked home.
The goal that won it on 69 minutes was a superb long range strike from Leon Dymotrowski, estimated to be between 30 and 40 yards out.

Whitehaven were at Coppull for their opener and after a goalless first half went down 3-1 with George Frampton scoring the visitors’ goal ten minutes from the end.
Coppull, determined to avoid last season’s bottom position, look stronger this time and they won with goals from Lewis Foster, Saif Taylor and Will Hopper.
The fourth Cumbrian side in the Premier Division Milnthorpe Corinthians crashed 6-1 in their opener at Eagley – conceding three goals in each half.
It had all started well, too, with Johnny Voortmamn scoring a fine 17th minute opener for the Corinthians.
On Tuesday there’s a Cumbrian derby to look forward to as Celtic entertain Millom while Milnthorpe Corinthians travel to Poulton. Whitehaven have no game.
