The West Cumbria Amalgamation have opted to change their race day this weekend.
Because of the forecast for strong winds tomorrow, it has been decided to race on Sunday.
The Lymm (Appleton) race-point has long been regarded as the best in the programme.
Close on 100 miles for the West Cumbrian birds it follows the three build-up liberations at Flookburgh, Garstang and Charnock Richard.
It’s not been the easiest of starts to the young bird programme for local fanciers with the second Flookburgh race cancelled because of the weather.
The birds will be marked and picked up at the usual times – but tomorrow instead of tonight.
