
A woman has died following a collision at Carlisle’s bus station on Friday.
Ann Weymouth, of Sunnymeade, Carlisle, was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle after the incident on Lonsdale Street.
She died in hospital yesterday, Sunday August 10.
Police said they were called to Lonsdale Street at around 8.25am on Friday, August 8, to reports of the collision involving a bus and a pedestrian.
Ann’s family have paid tribute to her.
In a statement, they said: “Ann was the kindest, most caring person we knew, and she was taken away far too soon.
“Ann was a loving mother to Joanne and Keith and a loving nan to Ashley, Callum, Connor, Oscar, Toby, and Daniel.
“Ann was a loving sibling to Robert, Susan, John and George.
“She’ll be forever helping others.”
Cumbria police said their investigation into the collision remained ongoing.
