
A road in a Cumbrian village will be closed for up to two weeks for improvements.
Contractors will move into Arkleby, near Aspatria, to start work on the B5301 at Arkleby from Monday August 18 for the work on behalf of Cumberland Council.
The work is expected to last for up to two weeks, subject to weather and site conditions, and will be delivered in two phases under a full road closure:
- Monday August 18 to Friday August 22 (The road will be reopened over the August bank holiday weekend)
- Tuesday August 26 to Friday August 29
Access will be maintained throughout for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, and emergency vehicles.
Residents and businesses with specific access needs are encouraged to liaise directly with on-site contractors.
