Three new footbridges have been installed on the West Cumbrian coastal path.
Cumberland Council, with funding from Natural England’s Access for All grant, has completed the installation on the King Charles III England Coast Path between Maryport and Flimby.
This project was delivered by the Countryside Access team at Cumberland Council, as part of the 2025–26 annual maintenance programme.
The new bridges feature wider spans, anti-slip surfaces, and are installed level with the surrounding path.
