A West Cumbrian pub is set to relaunch this week following a £450,000 revamp.
The Kings Arms, on Main Street in Egremont, was bought by Proper Pubs, part of Admiral Taverns, which operates more than 200 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
Behind the bar is Louise Blair, who has been at the helm of The King’s Arms for the last six years.
She said: “I’ve loved every minute of my time at The Kings Arms so far and it’s been fantastic watching the transformation come to life.
“I can’t wait to see all of our wonderful regular customers once again – and of course welcome new faces – to show off the pub’s brand-new look and everything it has to offer.”
Inside, the pub is split into three areas – the main bar, the snug and the games room – that have been transformed, said the firm.
Outside, The Kings Arms has new lighting and signs and a refreshed beer garden seating over 15 people at the front and around 25 at the back.
The pub will officially relaunch at 6pm on Thursday August 14.
Matthew Gurney, operations director for Proper Pubs, said: “It’s been a pleasure having Louise at the helm of The Kings Arms and I’m delighted to see how well the refurbishment is progressing.
“We’re just in the process of finalising those finishing touches ready to welcome customers back to the pub on Wednesday.
“On behalf of myself and the Proper Pubs team, we wish Louise all the best with the reopening and look forward to seeing her plans for the pub come to life.”
