Workington Reds go in search of their first NPL points of the season tonight.
Darren Edmondson takes his side to Stockton for their second Premier Division clash of the new season.
Saturday’s opener at Borough Park ended in an agonising 2-1 defeat after Whitby scored in very much the last minute of time added on.
The visitors had come from behind to win after Luke Ellis had given Reds a 29th minute lead.
Ellis is a doubt for tonight after being forced off during the second-half on Saturday.
But Cieran Casson, one of four notable absentees against Whitby is back from holiday and re-joins the squad.
Stockton opened their campaign with a 0-0 draw at Prescot Cables.
They had goalkeeper Nathan Harker to thank for the point, as he made a number of excellent saves to keep Stockton in the contest after they had been reduced to ten men following the controversial dismissal of Amar Purewal.
The two clubs met for the first time last season when Stockton completed a comfortable double.
They won at home 5-0 last October before scoring a 3-1 win at Borough Park in February.
Ahead of the game Stockton’s assistant manager JD Briggs said: “Getting in a home game with our fans behind us will be really good, and it will build on a solid start. We just need to turn that draw into a win.
“Workington are going to be a hard-working and industrious team who don’t stop and don’t make it easy.
“We need to produce a similar defensive display but start creating a lot more.”
