A rescue raven which had gone missing, devastating his keeper who has looked after him since he was days old, has been found safe and well.
And in a twist that could be a storyline in a children’s book he was spotted in Ravenstown!
Jane Halliday was distraught when a loud noise spooked the much-loved family member and using social media and Cumbria Crack she spread the word about the bird’s disappearance.
“I was out at 5am this morning and there was no sign at all but then just before eight I got a call to say he had been seen in my cousin’s garden,” Jane said.
Clearly delighted to be reunited she said he was non the worse for his ordeal although seemed ‘subdued’ and was eating to make up for the meals he missed while he was on his adventures.
“I can’t thank people enough for coming forward to help and sharing the story – setting up pages on Facebook etc – it’s been very emotional,” Jane said.
