Budget chain B&M plans to take over Cockermouth’s former Wilko store.
A planning application has been submitted for the firm to erect new signs at the South Street premises.
Wilko shut its doors in Cockermouth on September 25 2023, after 19 years in the town, when the firm went into administration.
The planning application for new signs at the store was lodged yesterday, August 21, with Cumberland Council.
People can comment on the application until September 18.
It is not known when B&M will open its doors in the town.
The firm took over Wilko’s former store in Carlisle earlier this year.
