Three property agents have been appointed to promote operator lease opportunities for two projects part of the £29.3 Millom Town Deal.
New operators are being sought for the regeneration sites in the town.
Corrie and Co, Home and Finance, and Carigiet Cowen have been appointed to help find operators for:
- The Old Bank – Work is ongoing to bring the former NatWest Bank on Market Square into community use. When complete, it is hoped the Old Bank will provide a vibrant space for local businesses, artists, and community groups. The centre will include a café, offices spaces, business enterprise units, and exhibition and retail display areas.
- A new visitor centre and café – a major part of the £10 million Iron Line project in Millom and Haverigg. It is at Hodbarrow Nature Reserve on the Duddon Estuary, the 70-seat cafe, with 30 seats outside.

David Savage, chair of the Millom Town Deal Board, said: “All of our Town Deal projects aim to attract visitors and help breathe new life into the town centre. Finding operators to run the sites is another important step forward.”
Leader of Cumberland Council Mark Fryer added: “I am proud of the progress being made on all our regeneration projects. A big thanks to all those involved in making these schemes come to life.”
