Westmorland and Furness Council has issued a list of road closures over the coming days.
The roads will be closed for lining and stud replacement work.
The authority said: “This work will conclude the £3.3 million surface dressing programme aimed at significantly extending the lifespan of 66 miles of Westmorland and Furness roads.”
The following roads will be closed:
- A593 Clappersgate to Green Coppice, Skelwith Bridge: September 1 8pm to 5am
- A591 Nab Cottage to Grasmere: September 2 8pm to 5am
- A65 Crooklands Hotel to Crooklands roundabout: September 3 8pm to 5am
- A5052 Penny Bridge: September 4 8pm to 5am
- A592 Fell Foot to Avon Wood: September 5 8pm to 5am
- Ulverston Road, Dalton: September 8 8pm to 5am
- A595 Greety Gate to Duddon Bridge; September 9-10 10pm to 5am.
- A683 Middleton Bridge to Sedbergh: September 10 8pm to 5am
