Long distance travellers Truro City had nothing to show for their 900-mile round trip to Carlisle United.
The newcomers stay second bottom of the National League with Carlisle third top.
The visitors were dealt a double early blow when Luke Armstrong scored twice in rapid succession.
The opener came just after just 10 minutes when Armstrong had a simple task in finding the net from close range.
Two minutes later Armstrong scored again when Truro made a mess of a clearance and the United striker took full advantage.
There’s no keeping Regan Linney out of the spotlight at the moment and he was on target on the hour and after the assist by Armstrong he crashed home another of his special finishes.
He’s proving to be the biggest crowd favourite at Brunton Park for some considerable time.
Truro offered little in attack and goalkeeper Aidan Stone produced a fine save late on to deny Harvey Macadam a fourth United goal.
