A South Cumbrian dog show raised almost £1,000 for a cancer care charity.
Woof & Wag, at Abbot Hall Park in Kendal, took place at the weekend to raise funds for CancerCare.
Sponsored by doggy day care centre Taylor Made Dog Centre, the event also included an agility beginners’ course run by Lune Valley Dog Agility, giving people the chance to see if their dogs might have a hidden talent.
Champion of the feature dog show was Mac, a Staffordshire bull terrier cross.
Many local businesses donated items or joined the event with a stall. Lauren Hall Photo and Video captured the event on camera.
Woof & Wag was run by CancerCare, an independent charity in North Lancashire and South Cumbria dedicated to helping people affected by cancer, life-shortening illnesses or bereavement.
South Lakes Community fundraiser Lisa Oliver-Hannis said: “Thank you to everyone who supported the day. There was a wonderful atmosphere as we all came together to celebrate our four-legged friends. We loved seeing so many dogs competing in the show, including our defending champion from last year!
“Special thanks to our sponsors Taylor Made Dog and to CancerCare’s volunteers who also make events such as these possible. We couldn’t run days such as these without you.”
