Kendal Town were back among the points last night with a fine 2-0 win at West Allotment Celtic.
After some disappointing results in the Northern League recently, after such a good start to the season, it was important to return to winning form.
This could have been a tricky away trip as Celtic have improved after a poor start to the campaign, but Kendal saw it through well.
Recent recruit Noah Sawkins gave the Mintcakes a 24th minute lead and James Bailey netted the second in the fourth minute of added time at the end of the game.
It sets up Kendal for a home game on Tuesday night against Northallerton and then a big away trip in the FA Vase to Fulwood Amateurs next Saturday.
Manager Matt Flynn is getting more bodies back into the fold and as well as Sawkins, he has just signed defender Regan Crossley and he started his Parkside career on the bench last night.
