Whitehaven have announced their third re-signing on a two-year deal.
Half-back Jack Newbegin joins Jack Kellett and Mitchell Todd who were confirmed as re-signing after the last match of the season.
Newbegin stepped up to the professional game last season from local NCL club Millom, having also previously represented his country, and went on to make 17 appearances in Haven colours in the League One season, scoring one try.
A consistent figure in the halves throughout the campaign he will look to kick on after establishing himself in the side last season. Head coach Anthony Murray said: “I am delighted that Jack has re-signed with the club for the next two seasons!
“After completing his first 12 months as a professional, Jack has shown huge promise and commitment both on and off the field.
“We’re excited to continue developing his talent and look forward to seeing him grow as a key part of our squad.”
Both Kellett and Todd have committed their futures to the club until the end of 2027 and more announcements are expected shortly.
