Whitehaven have announced a fourth signing for the Ortus Rec club.

Ellis Nixon, still only 20, will remain with Haven until the end of the 2027 campaign.

The young forward stepped up from CARLA Premier Division side Seaton Rangers to make 13 appearances, scoring two tries during the 2025 League One campaign.

That included a try on his competitive debut when he started in the 1895 Cup defeat against Midlands Hurricanes.

Nixon also spent time back at Seaton on dual registration coached by Haven assistant coach Neil ‘Gus’ Frazer.

However he became a regular in the final games of the season coming off the bench in four of the final six games of the season.

Head coach Anthony Murray said: “I am thrilled to confirm that Ellis will be staying with the club after completing his first year in the professional game.

“His progress over the past 12 months has been outstanding, and securing his future here is another step in our commitment to developing and building around local players.

“We can’t wait to see him continue his journey with us over the coming seasons.”

Nixon is the fourth confirmed member of the 2026 squad with all announced so far committing their futures until the end of the 2027 season with more announcements coming over the following days and weeks.
