A 2-1 win at Crawley enabled Barrow to put together back-to-back victories for the first time this season.
The Bluebirds took home the points after first-half goals from Josh Gordon and Isaac Fletcher gave them a two-goal cushion at the break.
Although Crawley improved after the break and Geraldo Bajrami pulled one back after 65 minutes they couldn’t get back on terms.
It was Bajrami’s first goal for the club but couldn’t prevent them tumbling to a sixth defeat in ten games.
As home manager Scott Lindsey admitted afterwards – “It’s no good just playing for one half of a game.”
Harry Davies, the home keeper had been brought into action early in the game as Barrow came out of the blocks smartly.
He palmed a header by Charlie Raglan over the bar and then had to turn an effort from Jack Earing around the upright.
But he could nothing to prevent Barrow scoring twice in the last 10 minutes of the half.
Josh Gordon fired home from close range after 35 minutes and Isaac Fletcher netted the second in time added on.
It was a more determined and effective Crawley after the break and former Carlisle striker Ryan Loft, on loan from Cambridge, had one effort cleared off the line.
They did half the deficit when Bajrami headed home from a corner by Dion Pereira in the 65th minute.
There were opportunities for Crawley to snatch a draw.
Substitute Harry Forster shot wide from a good position and Loft missed the target after Flint had hit a post right at the end.
