A youngster suffered facial injuries after falling off her mountain bike in a Lake District forest.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team was called to Grizedale Forest on Friday, September 26, at around 8.40pm.
The girl had fallen by a main forest track.
The team said: “On the surface and after assessment, she appeared to have suffered only minor facial injuries.
“However, due to the mechanism of her injuries, she was placed in a vacuum mattress as a precaution, and transported in a land rover to the car park at High Cross.
“The young girl was then transferred over to North West Ambulance Service paramedics on their arrival, and taken to Furness General Hospital in Barrow.
“It has since been confirmed that she is absolutely fine with superficial facial injuries, which was a relief to everyone.”
