Experienced prop forward Brad Brennan has signed a new two-year contract with Whitehaven.

It means the 32-year-old has extended his stay at the Ortus Rec until the end of 2027.

Brennan first signed for the club ahead of the recent 2025 campaign after forging a reputation as no-nonsense forward in spells at Barrow, North Wales and Workington among other clubs.

The powerful forward made 20 appearances last season scoring three tries and will now remain in West Cumbria for two more seasons.

Head coach Anthony Murray has worked with Brennan previously in his spells at Workington, Barrow and North Wales as well as last season and was especially pleased to tie him down again.

He said: “I’m delighted Brad has re-signed for the club. I’ve coached him for a long time now and he’s someone who always makes a big impact whenever he pulls on the shirt.

“His experience, consistency, and the standards he sets for himself and the team make him a huge asset both on and off the field.

“It’s great to have him staying with us.”
