Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway is closed to visitors today.
Operators of the L’al Ratty said due to power cuts and fallen trees on the line caused by Storm Amy, the railway will be closed for the rest of today, Saturday October 4.
Anyone with tickets for today is asked not to travel to the station and the operators said they will email anyone affected about refunds or new dates.
The railway added: “Due to the ongoing storm conditions, we cannot confirm tomorrow’s train service until a full line inspection is completed at 10am.
“Please call us in the morning before setting off for the station.
“We apologise for the significant disruption and thank you for your understanding as we work to make the line safe.”
