A 0-0 home draw with lowly Shrewsbury meant Barrow extended their unbeaten run to three games.
But the Bluebirds would have been looking for all three points against the Shrews, still fighting to get out of the League Two drop zone.
Storm Amy provided difficult, windy conditions throughout the game which made it something of a lottery.
The visitors had the gale-force wind behind them in the first-half and helped them create the better chances.
Barrow keeper Wyll Stanway had to be smart to turn over a shot from distance by Anthony Scully but could do little about a curling effort from Luca Hoole which hit the post.
There was also a nervous moment when Stanway slammed a clearance against Shrewsbury striker John Marquis and it rebounded just wide.
Barrow expected a similar wind boost after half-time but Shrewsbury remained the better side without creating clear chances.
Barrow did not enjoy the same sort of moments with the wind in their favour and Shrewsbury defended well.
However the home side might have won it at the end when Isaac Fletcher had an effort blocked by keeper Will Brook and as the ball was diverted goalwards Will Boyle just managed to get back and clear.
