Emergency services called to crash on A591

Emergency services were called to a collision on the A591 in South Cumbria yesterday.

The incident, which involved two vehicles, happened near Winters Lane, near Staveley.

Air ambulances were called to the incident, which was reported at around 3.35pm yesterday, Saturday October 11.

The road was blocked and drivers were asked to avoid the area if possible.

Police has since said a man in his 80s died at the scene.
