A man in his 80s who died following a crash on the A591 has been named.
The two-vehicle collision happened near Winter Lane, near Staveley, at around 3.28pm on Saturday October 11.
The collision involved a Peugeot 108 and a Volkswagen Golf.
Mr Derek Swarbrick, from Kendal, was the driver of the Peugeot, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a man in his twenties, sustained non-serious injuries that didn’t require hospital treatment.
Officers are investigating the collision and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
