Silver Dream took another firm step towards the HRA senior title with another win at Dearham last night.
It means with just over a fortnight left of the season she has a four-point lead over nearest challenger Sportsman.
Julie and Darren McMaster and Anthony Skelton’s bitch was sent off favourite over her local terrain.
There were only four runners with the much improved Millie’s Lass, running for George McGimpsey and Gillian and Millie Telford likely to give her most to do.
After the four were slipped the first reports from the roads confirmed that the quartet were together.
By the time they got to the middle road Silver Dream had started to establish a lead from Millie’s Lass Thorn Heart for Colin Satterthwaite.

Onto the finish Silver Dream had extended her lead and finished well to win easily and notch up her 28th win of the season.
Millie’s Lass finished in second place with a gap to Thorn Heart. The fourth hound didn’t get round the course and was picked up at the last road.
These were the last of the Dearham trails with only a small turnout of hounds. Over the three races there were 25 hounds and 15 of them contested the open restricted race.
There were six pups for their race and Silver Dream’s kennelmate Tucker was sent off as favourite having never been beaten round the course.
As they crossed the road all hounds were together but once round the Tallentire end it was Tucker who came on his own to win comfortably and maintain his 100 per cent record.
Maggie stayed on well to finish in second place for Les and Graham Reid, Erin Rowlandson, Barbara Jones and Stephen Walker. Prospect Jill finished in third for Stuart Smith with Heartside for Stuart and Jacob Jeynes taking fourth.

Tanya Satterthwaite’s Pied Piper was fifth and the last of the six entries to get round.
Tucker moved to within three points of the long standing leader Delta Fortune in the puppy championship so the next two weeks will be pivotal for Tucker in his quest to overhaul his rival and complete a likely championship double for the successful Dearham kennel.
The open restricted race brought proceedings to a close and We Get By for Sarah White was sent off as favourite.
Once they showed on the finish it was a good run-in with plenty of hounds in with a chance.
Once through the last gate it was the favourite We Get By who strode on to win from kennel-mate Malfunction for Sarah and Ashley Horn.

There was a slight gap to Blue Striker in third for Brian and Erin Rowlandson and Billy Birkett with last week’s winner Spring Return in fourth.
Tracey, Derrick and Carolyn Hill’s Milo Moon was fifth with the last ticket going to Stuart and Jacob Jeyne’s Off Spring.
The third place for Blue Striker keeps him in front in the Open Restricted points competition and although Malfunction was second he only narrowed the difference between the two dogs by just one point so it is still all to play for in that particular contest with only three more races left.
The interesting from that last open restricted race was that the first four hounds were all from the same litter – Spring Rascal and General James and were bred by Jenny Horn.
