Bird flu has been detected in premises near Penrith.
The Animal and Plant Health Agency said avian influenza had been confirmed at the premises, which has a commercial flock of over 10,000 birds.
All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled, it said.
A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone have been declared around the premises.
