
A number of teenagers have been arrested following anti-social behaviour and crimes in areas of Carlisle.
Carlisle police said Halloween last night, October 31, was tainted by a few ‘small-minded’ groups in the Harraby and Kingstown areas of the city.
Carlisle police said: “They set out to cause disruption to our neighbourhoods, including on more than one occasions vulnerable people in our communities bearing the brunt.
“Your neighbourhood team arrested a number of teens on suspicion of a range of offences from attempt criminal damage to harassment.
“These investigations remain ongoing and parents have been fully brought up to speed.
“A larger number were stopped and searched, on several occasions positive.
“A number not stopped tonight can expect a knock at the door in the coming days following identification via CCTV.”
Carlisle police warned parents that the consequences of their children’s actions can have ramifications for them – from fines and parenting orders to eviction.
