There’s still one big game left at the Fibrus Community Stadium in Workington – and it’s Friday night with a 6.30pm kick-off.
Popular Workington Town captain Steve Scholey, 35, is holding a special testimonial game.
Scholey will lead his own Workington Town Select against a specially selected squad of players from the community game who have been prominent in the Cumberland Amateur Rugby League this last season.
The testimonial runs for 12 months and will be wrapped up in February, with this game a showpiece event.
Stevie took time out to talk to the Cumbria Crack’s John Walsh about the game, his testimonial, his Town career and how it all started.
