What have a flock of sheep, a hungry lion and a team of actors got in common?
They’ll all be in Workington on Saturday, November 22 for a festive family theatre show.
Touring performance company 4Front Theatre are returning to the town following their first visit in June, bringing their show, Have Ewe Herd? to St Mary’s Westfield Parish Centre.
4Front Theatre describes the production as a baaa-rilliant pan-tivity with toe-tapping songs, slapstick silliness, chaotic puppetry and a whole lot of laughs.
The event is free and open to everyone.
It has been organised by Churches Together in Workington and District for families from across the area.
Organiser Charlotte Bampton said: “When 4Front visited Workington in June they performed to hundreds of children in local schools as well as giving a public performance.
“The town must have made an impression on them as they got in touch asking to come back.
“We’d love to see lots of families join us for what promises to be an action-packed hour of fun for all.”
The Rev Sharon Murphy, of St Mary’s Westfield, added: “It was lovely to have 4Front Theatre with us in June and we’re looking forward to welcoming them back this month.
“Christmas is an exciting time of year with lots of things happening in churches across the town and this is a lovely way to kick things off. It’ll be an exciting afternoon and a great way to explain the events that lie behind Christmas in an interactive way.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of people from the local community to share the afternoon with us.”
The hour-long show will start at 5pm and be followed by refreshments.
Entry is free of charge with donations welcome.
