Penrith are among the top scorers this season in the Northern League Division One.
Jim Nichols’ men have hit 39 goals in their 16 league games, with only Whitley Bay (41) scoring more.
West Auckland and Newcastle Blue Star have also hit 39 league goals but it’s Penrith’s Luke Hunter who is out in front at the Division’s top individual scorer.
Hunter has notched 18 goals and it’s no surprise he’s attracting interest from envious clubs higher up the non-league pyramid.
Two Whitley Bay men are his closest rivals for top spot with striker Layton Campbel on 12 and Mackenzie Sharpe on 11. But Campbell won’t be adding to his tally as the teenager has just signed a professional contract with Middlesbrough after a successful trial period.
Hunter’s Penrith team-mate Connor Shields is also in the leading group of marksmen with eight goals, alongside Kendal Town’s top scorer James Bailey.
Carlisle City’s Callum Birdsall and Kendal’s Josh Winder also figure in the latest list of Northern League hot shots with seven apiece.
