Join Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, for Light Up A Life, a heartfelt way to honour loved ones and support hospice care.
People are invited to come together to dedicate a light or message in memory of someone special and help secure compassionate care for those who will need it in the months and years ahead.
80% of Eden Valley Hospice is funded purely by the generosity of the community.
A donation of £27.13 would provide an hour of specialist care for a patient this Christmas, but every contribution – large or small – helps ensure no one faces the end of life alone.
Two Light Up a Life services will be held this year.
The Christmas lights switch-on at the hospice takes place on Sunday, November 23 at 4.30pm.
A carol service will be held at Carlisle Cathedral on Friday, December 5 at 7.30pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend either or both services. For those unable to join in person, dedications can still be made and will be displayed on the hospice’s Christmas tree throughout the festive period. Each dedication, whether a light or a message, is a symbol of love and remembrance, shining brightly in our community.
