A formal consultation has been launched into the proposed speed limits for Carlisle’s southern link road.
People are invited to share their views about the proposals, which would see the National Speed Limit applied along the full length of the road.
Cumberland Council also wants to introduce new 30mph speed limits on parts of Wigton Road, Scalegate Road, Newbiggin Road, Burthwaite Road, Dalston Road, Peter Lane, Buckabank Road, Durdar Road, Brisco Road.
It also wants to introduce new 40mph speed limits on parts of Dalston Road, Burbank Road, Ivegill Road, Brisco Road

The statutory consultation will run for three weeks.
