A woman was assaulted by three men at a Carlisle taxi rank.
Police are investigating the incident, which happened at around 5am on November 2 at the taxi rank opposite Carlisle Railway Station.
It was reported there was an altercation in the queue, after which three people, all male, assaulted the victim.
The three then left in a taxi – a white Skoda saloon.
The woman sustained severe bruising to her face.
The three men were said to have been out in Botchergate as part of a larger group and at one point had earlier been in the Walkabout bar.
The men were white with brown hair. One wore a white top and another wore a purple or blue jacket, with a brand logo.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw anything or anyone with relevant dashcam footage or CCTV footage to contact them.
