The Sunday County Cup dominated the weekend programme in the West Cumberland Sunday League.
Six ties produced the usual glut of goals at this early stage with three sides hitting double figures.
Thornhill were on the receiving end against Lowca Pirates as the home side won 16-1.
Owen Woodburn and Travis Fyfe, also now team-mates at Windscale in the Wearside League, led the way with six goals apiece. There was also a hat-trick for Kian Goulding while Oliver Todd also found the net.
Hopefully Thornhill will bounce back from this hammering, and Brad Dryden scored their consolation goal.
For the second week in a row Moresby Rangers scored double figures, this time beating Zebras 12-0.
Rhys Singleton was the biggest benefactor of the Zebras generosity as he helped himself to six goals.
Ellis Trotter (2), James Bell, Jay Connor, Taylor Richardson and Jamie Martin were also on the mark.
Deer Orchard were the third side to run riot, beating Workington Falcons 11-0 at Wakefield Road. Josh Palmer (5), Jayden Fulton (3) and Luke Graham (3) scored the goals.
By contrast the Maryport Amateurs v Mirehouse tie produced seven goals but was a really well contested tight contest.
Maryport won it 4-3 with goals from Chris Dawes (2), Steven Stoddart and Carl Denver. Mirehouse were very much in it with goals from Josh Atkinson, Kian Sim and Bradley Colaluca.
The Whitehaven side had actually been in front 2-1 at half-time.
Dearham Commercial were 6-3 winners over their Aspatria visitors Sun Inn as Danny Dryden (2), Darren Rule, Jack Walsh, Jack Bassnet and Jack Kemp scored.
Louie Elliott, Shaun Smith and Jack Coyne netted for Sun Inn.
A special well done to The Sun who had been crushed 15-0 by Moresby Rangers last week in the Premier Division but bounced back to beat the Swan 4-1 and make Cup progress.
David Miller scored for the Swan but the Sun scorers have not been sent in.
