Part of the M6 was closed while emergency services attended a crash.
Cumbria Police said officers dealt with the crash on the M6 Northbound between J37 and J38.
Both Northbound and Southbound of the motorway were closed initially, but both sides are now open.
The North West Air Ambulance Service was in attendance.
The area was dealing with very heavy traffic and tailbacks.
