A five-year-old chequer hen has clearly retained her good looks for the new show season.
She won for the seventh time in the show pen last night for McLuckie brothers at the second in the winter series staged by Workington Victoria in the Union Jack Club.
Wayne McLuckie said: “She is out of the stock loft and in winning seven times has picked up over £500 in prize money.
“She is a direct daughter of Rudy van Reef’s Rambo.”
Neil Buchanan was the latest judge to be impressed with her as he judged 51 old hens.

His tickets went to: 1, 2, McLuckie bros; 3, Williams and Hadfield; 4, Varty, son and grandson; 5, Mr and Mrs W. Carter and sons; 6, M. and L. Cape; 7, Dolan and daughter; 8, N. Semple.
Next week’s show is for young cocks, judging 7.30pm.
Meanwhile on Wednesday night the Flimby HS show for old hens had 70 entries, judged by David Lofthouse and John Trodden.
A three-year-old chequer hen entered by Jimmy Nelson and Fletcher Crellin caught the eye of the judges for her first win in the show pen.
Tickets went to: 1, 8, Nelson and Crellin; 2, Todhunter and co (nom); 3, Bromley and co; 4, 7, Dobson and co; 5, Varty, son and grandson; 6, A and T Kenmare.
